Refund, Warranty and Return Policy

BE SURE THESE SHOES FIT COMFORTABLY BEFORE YOU WEAR THEM........

You have just purchased a superior quality product, thank you for using us. We appreciate your business; however, we will not accept returns after shoes are soiled or show wear, other than for defects in materials or workmanship. (See bottom of page). If there is any doubt about fit or comfort, take the shoes home and test wear them on a carpet in clean surroundings. There will be NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES or CREDITS given after 14 DAYS or on WORN SHOES, unless the manufacturer of the brand you buy offers a “Comfort Guarantee”. This type of guarantee is extremely rare, ask your Hayes Shoes sales representative for more information.

Shoes are not indestructible and must be taken care of to last. This includes but is not limited to:

Reasonable cleaning and treating of the leather regularly or occasionally, (depending on your environment) with products such as; Leather Protector, Boot Oil, Mink Oil, Shoe Polish, Silicone Boot Spray, Snow Seal, etc.. If you do not know what products are appropriate for your situation, our sales representatives are trained to assist you with more information in this area.

Unfortunately we also can’t accept returns, even for warranty problems, if the shoes show signs of “Abuse” such as:

  1. Dry rotting, saturations of oils/coolants or chemicals that destroy the leather. This includes animal manure.
  2. The safety cap showing for any reason i.e., the leather has been torn, ripped or cut away
  3. Shoes that show signs of being burned chemically, by welding slag or other heat source.
  4. Any intentional damage or alteration. (Alterations can often keep us from being able to determine if there is a defect).

There is no such thing as a “slip proof” pair of shoes.

At Hayes Shoes we pledge to only recommend the best products for your environment and that includes slip resistant safety shoes. We base these recommendations on the testing results of the shoes and feedback from our vast pool of customers like yourself. Due to limitless numbers of contaminates that could be present on the floors you walk on, we can’t guarantee shoes will not slip when you wear them. Shoes that do slip are not considered defective.

Questions? Don’t be afraid to ask for answers!

We believe honesty is the best policy and will provide any information we know of about the products we sell. If we don’t know the answer, we will find out in a timely manner and get back to you.

What is covered by warranty? Manufacturing Defects.

What is a Manufacturing Defect?

Despite the extensive efforts of footwear manufacturers to exercise top quality control, rarely a defect can still happen and slip by inspectors. If this happens we will make every effort to correct the deficiency. Examples of these defects may include:

  1. Sole materials cracking while simply wearing and walking in the shoes.
  2. Eyelets pulling off due to not being installed well enough by the manufacturer.
  3. Stitching unraveling due to not being sewn properly.
  4. Soles and Uppers separating prematurely because they were not glued together properly.
  5. Other defects as identified and accepted by our trained personnel.
